In accordance with state statutes and relevant association legislations, NCAA Division I student-athletes are now able to capitalize on their own name, image and likeness (NIL). UCLA Athletics is committed to student-athlete development in this space with its comprehensive NIL program, Westwood Ascent.

Designed to support UCLA student-athletes as they build their personal brand and maximize their NIL opportunities, Westwood Ascent focuses on three pillars – Education, Brand-Building and Monitoring and Disclosure.

NIL Policy

The University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and its Department of Intercollegiate Athletics (DIA) embrace and share in its student-athletes’ (SA) enthusiasm surrounding recent updates to Name, Image and Likeness (NIL).
